The University of Texas was selected to host the 2001 Texas State High School Water Polo Championships at the Joe Jamail Swim Center on Friday and Saturday, October 26th and 27th. Competing will be the top Boys and Girls teams from two regions in Houston, one region in Dallas and one region in San Antonio. Regional qualifications will be done in the above cities in the weeks leading up to the Championships. The defending champions are Clear Lake Boys and Clear Creek Girls, both from the Houston area.
