...National Junior Olympics-NJO’s (separate email went out regarding the NJOs), each Zone is allowed one entry into each championship plus the top teams from the prior year. The listing of events, their dates and locations, procedures, entry fees and links to online registration can be found here: https://webpoint.usawaterpolo.com/wp/events/listevents.asp?evt_TypeID=10 . There are two major changes for 2010. First, the age of an athlete is determined by their age the first day of each event. Second, all athletes who intend to play with at a National Championship MUST be registered with the club they intend to play with by May 31st (NO EXCEPTIONS).
National Championship Entry deadlines are:
· Women’s 20 & under deadline is May 27th
· Women’s Nationals deadline is May 31st
· Men’s 20 & under deadline is June 3rd
· Men’s Nationals deadline is June 7th
Entries are only allowed online and deadlines are strict. The only guarantee is that if you do not register by the deadline, you are guaranteed not to be eligible to compete. Should the numbers of team entries from the Southwest Zone for any single event exceed the maximum allowed entries for the Southwest Zone for that event, then a Southwest Zone qualifying event will be held to determine the team or teams that will be allowed to enter. Any teams that did not qualify will be refunded their entry fees.
